3D evolution

Last Monday, an enthusiastic and numerous group of students from our school attended the performance of a play in the Casa de la Cultura theatre. The play was entitled 3D-Evolution and it was well acted by two English-speaking performers who offered us an energetic and amusing interpretation.

Sports, technology and funny misunderstandings caught the audience’s attention from the very beginning of the show. Furthermore, some students were selected (may we say kidnapped?) among the audience to take part in the representation. They were given a variety of roles (sportsmen and sportswomen, showman, computer technician’s helper,…) and they had the chance to prove themselves on the stage! Octavio, Mª Pili, Vicente, Julián, David and Lidia Cruz did extraordinarily well in their parts. Some of them won a gold medal, others were given a beautiful bouquet of flowers and all of them received a sincere applause from the crowd.

Funny and interactive, this performance allowed our students to make a practical and active use of their knowledge of English in an informal atmosphere. Some of the students interacted with native speakers of English and everyone in the theatre had a great time!

El pasado lunes, un grupo muy numeroso de alumnos de nuestro centro asistieron a la representación de una obra de teatro en la Casa de la Cultura. La obra, titulada "3D-Evolution", fué muy bien interpretada por dos actores nativos, que nos ofrecieron una interpretación enérgica y divertida.

Deporte, tecnología y divertidos malentendidos llamaron la atención de la audiencia desde el principio. Algunos alumnos fueron sacados a escena de manera ¿voluntaria? para participar en la representación. Se les asignaron una gran variedad de roles (deportistas, presentadores, ayudantes del equipo técnico, ...) que les permitieron demostrar su valía en el escenario. Octavio, Mª Pili, Vicente, Julián, David y Lidia Cruz cumplieron muy bien con sus papeles. Algunos de ellos ganaron una merecida medalla de oro, otros recibieron un hermoso ramo de flores y todos recibieron el aplauso sincero de la sala.

Divertida e interactiva, esta obra ha permitido a nuestros alumnos poner en práctica de manera activa sus conocimientos de inglés en un ambiente informal. Algunos de los estudiantes interactuaron con los actores nativos y todos los asistentes lo pasamos de maravilla.
